Makariv preschool education institution (nursery-kindergarten) "Barvinok" of the Makariv settlement council

As a result of the military actions of the Russian invaders in the first weeks of the war, many social infrastructure objects, including educational institutions, were damaged in the Makariv community. A total of 26 children's institutions were damaged, and some of them were completely destroyed.

After the liberation of Makariv, representatives of the Makariv community turned to ONOVA Ukraine's Renovation League for help.

ONOVA responded to the appeal of the affected community. The first object of renovation is the "Barvinok" children's institution, which was blown up during the Russian invasion.

According to eyewitnesses, the first bomb hit the "Barvinok" preschool at 5 a.m. on March 7 during shelling. Russian occupiers fired mortars and "Hurricanes" at him.

Our experts have already visited the place. Contacts with local specialists were established, and a memorandum on cooperation with the leadership of the Makariv settlement council was signed.

Collected all the necessary materials related to fixing the destruction and developed a technical report.

All data on the destruction and technical condition of the building are entered in ONOVA GIS HUB.

Project work on the reconstruction of the kindergarten and work on the improvement of the destroyed children's playground on the adjacent territory has begun.
