On May 2-4, 2023, the annual international conference "GIS for a Sustainable World Conference" will be held in Geneva, organized by ESRI (USA), the Ukrainian representative of which is a partner of the ONOVA League of Ukraine.
During the event, participants will be presented with projects to rebuild and develop individual settlements using geographic information portals. In particular, the joint project of Esri Ukraine and the ONOVA League is the ONOVA GIS HUB geographic information portal, which is already being used by communities to plan activities to restore destroyed infrastructure, taking into account the principles of environmental friendliness, energy efficiency, and the analytical potential of GIS.
The conference will generally focus on the geographical approach to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participants will share their experience in applying GIS technologies in various fields, such as agriculture, the food industry, post-disaster recovery, etc.
