Restoring Ukraine: how the Charitable Foundation Blagomay is changing lives in 2024
In the most difficult times, we unite for change. The Charitable Foundation “Blagomay” not only supports children, but is also actively involved in the restoration of critical infrastructure, creating safe conditions for the life and development of communities. In 2024, thanks to joint efforts with partners and benefactors, the foundation implemented several significant projects that leave a tangible mark on communities.
The biggest achievements of 2024:
1. Overhaul of the food unit at the Bilochka kindergarten (Trostyanets)
The Bilochka kindergarten completely renovated its canteen and corridors and purchased modern kitchen equipment.
This has significantly improved the conditions for more than 50 children and staff, providing a warm and cozy atmosphere.
Project budget: UAH 1,643,568.
2. Restoration of a bridge over an irrigation system in Mykolaiv region
The bridge connecting the villages was destroyed during the hostilities, leaving thousands of people without convenient access to neighboring settlements. Our foundation funded the creation of design and estimate documentation for the reconstruction of this important transportation artery. Now more than 4,000 residents can safely cross the water barrier.
Project budget: UAH 148,105.
3. Construction of shelters in the Trostianets community
Two semi-buried shelters for 100 and 120 people were built in the Trostianets community. They are located in Trostianets branch #4 and Kamianske educational institution. These shelters provide reliable protection for more than 300 people during air raids.
Project budget: UAH 11,830,854.
4. Repair of the shelter at Voznesensk Special School
Students with special educational needs now have a comfortable and safe place to stay in case of emergency. We overhauled the shelter and provided it with the necessary furniture, creating comfortable conditions for more than 200 people.
Project budget: UAH 450,000.
5. Accessibility for all at the Kyiv Palace of Children and Youth “Yacht Club”
Ramps and an adapted bathroom were installed at the Yacht Club, giving children and adolescents with disabilities equal access to active leisure and development.
Project budget: UAH 447,263.
6. Improving conditions in Sumy region institutions
We took care of the shelters in Bilopil Hospital, Ulyanivka Special School, and Romny Rehabilitation Center for Children with Disabilities. Furniture and equipment were purchased for these institutions, and work was done to improve conditions, providing comfort for more than 450 people.
Project budget: UAH 273,300.
7. Assistance to the rehabilitation center in the village of Liutizh
The All-Ukrainian Center for Comprehensive Rehabilitation now has restored wells and water towers, as well as new equipment: an industrial washing machine, a filter pump for the swimming pool and a heat exchanger for the boiler room. This has helped improve conditions for more than 700 people who undergo rehabilitation at the facility every year.
Project budget: UAH 719,561.
8. Roof replacement at an art lyceum in Mykolaiv region
The lyceum, which houses orphans and children from low-income families around the clock, has begun replacing its old roof. The project is still in progress, but it has already given hope to 180 children who will receive comfortable conditions for studying and living.
Project budget: UAH 2,400,000.
9. Replacement of windows in the school's medical center in Kyiv region
A special school in the village of Mostyshche is replacing old wooden windows with modern metal-plastic ones. This will not only increase the energy efficiency of the institution, but also create more comfortable conditions for children and staff.
Project budget: UAH 130,767.
