About Us
Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (UVCA) was established to spread the word about Ukraine’s achievements and opportunities and to support investors in every aspect, from providing reliable information to establishing international connections at the industry and government levels. On the other hand, blossoming local technology sector have triggered emergence of new local investors, who certainly benefit from the western peers sharing their expertise and best practices. By building a bridge between Ukrainian and global ecosystems, UVCA facilitates the motion of knowledge and capital in both directions. UVCA is a member of Invest Europe.
What We Do
1) Promoting and networking
- attracting foreign private equity investors to Ukraine
- promoting Ukrainian investment opportunities to foreign investors in industry events and in one-on-one meetings
- organizing roadshows for international investors in Ukraine as well as Ukrainian investors abroad
- supporting creating IT success stories in Ukraine
- providing „credibility confirmation“ of investors
- encouraging syndicated investments
2) Conducting research
- compiling industry overviews by gathering and analyzing private equity and venture capital activity data in Ukraine
- providing international associations, research institutes and investors with information on market and market participants
- spreading European private equity research and news data center
3) Lobbying and protecting
- amending legislation on improving business and investment climate
- lobbying for creating new investment vehicles and schemes to expand investment opportunities
- providing international support in lobbying (EBAN, EVCA etc)
- protecting private equity investors rights
4) Informing and educating
- Collecting and spreading the most relevant data on industry from the world
- Conducting weekly newsletter and sharing news, modern trends and best practices
- Holding events with inspiring guests on up-to-date topics
- Supporting Ukrainian initiatives and events
Projects
Program "Support Ukrainian startups NOW"
The FREE Ukraine Foundation (FUF), together with the Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (UVCA), has launched a program of targeted assistance to startups and professionals who are members of the Ukrainian startup community and whose innovative business needs help now.
The Support Ukrainian Startups NOW program is a grant support program for IT and startup companies in Ukraine. Within this program, we select projects and people who have suffered the most or are in a critical situation.
"Ukraine's Reconstruction and Recovery Plan"
On May 25, in Davos, in parallel with the World Economic Forum, the Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association initiated a roundtable discussion with major international institutional and venture capital investors and representatives of the Ministry of Digital Transformation entitled "Ukraine's Reconstruction and Recovery Plan".
The UVCA invites everyone to join the development and implementation of the "Reconstruction and Recovery Plan for Ukraine".
The working group, created by the Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (UVCA), is open to investors from all sectors and countries of the world who have already supported and continue to support Ukraine, and are actively involved in projects that create opportunities for the country's further development.
