Public non-commercial enterprise of Kyiv regional for the sake «Kyiv regional mental health center»
The Kyiv Regional Mental Health Center is a specialized institution that provides inpatient and outpatient care for patients suffering from mental health disorders. The Mental Health Center is located in the picturesque resort town of Vorzel, which has gained wide popularity as a health resort due to its exceptional natural and climatic conditions.
Our institution has 7 psychiatric wards with a bed capacity of 310 patients. In addition to general psychiatric wards, there are wards for combatants and war veterans, as well as a medical and psychological rehabilitation unit. We are introducing a new method of relaxation therapy with the help of viar glasses, which will allow us to carry out psychological relief in group work with patients of our institution without imaginative thinking, bypassing the imagination, thus achieving the maximum relaxation effect. We keep our finger on the pulse of all innovations in this area.
Since July 1, 2022, according to the order of the Ministry of Veterans of 26.06.2022 №104, the Kyiv Regional Mental Health Center was included in the register of health care institutions providing psychological rehabilitation services to affected participants of the Revolution of Dignity, participants of the anti-terrorist operation, persons who carried out measures to ensure national security and defense, repulse and deter the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, their family members, family members of the deceased (deceased) of such persons.
On the basis of our institution, a multidisciplinary team has been created, which includes a psychiatrist, medical psychologists and a practical psychologist. There is also a mobile palliative care team. This allows us to provide psychiatric care to as many people as possible who need it.
The specialists of our department conduct an initial psychodiagnostic examination to determine a psychological problem or mental disorder and psychosocial maladjustment. For diagnostics, they use international standardized examination and assessment tools (scales, tests, questionnaires) specific to the problem at hand. Individual and group psychological counseling is provided using evidence-based methods based on the experience of foreign colleagues. It is also possible to provide psychological assistance to patients remotely (using information and communication technologies).
