JSC "The State Export-Import Bank of Ukraine" (Ukreximbank)
JSC "The State Export-Import Bank of Ukraine" (Ukreximbank) is a state-owned, systemically important bank that is wholly owned by the Government of Ukraine. It was founded in 1992 by the Government of Ukraine to implement state policy in the areas of industry, foreign trade, economy and finance.
As of December 1, 2023, the bank's net assets amounted to UAH 235 billion.
Today, Ukreximbank is the sole financial agent of the Government of Ukraine for the implementation of programs of international financial organizations and the Government of Ukraine. The Bank has strong competence in raising funds and developing financial products, including long-term loans, in cooperation with international financial organizations.
Under active IFI programs, the Bank has over $400 million, which is combined with the government's 5-7-9 program to finance businesses and communities. Thanks to the partnership with IFIs, in 2023 alone, the Bank received loan portfolios worth UAH 1 billion, which exceeds the amount of such financing over the previous 7 years.
According to the NBU, more than 55% of the IFI financing coming to Ukraine through the banking sector is provided through Ukreximbank. Combined with a wide range of international partner financial institutions (International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, International Finance Corporation (IFC), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), European Investment Bank (EIB), Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO)), this is the strongest position in the market.
Main financial products of Ukreximbank:
- Investment loans, working capital loans, including for export-oriented enterprises, letters of credit, guarantees.
- Unique conditions for currency exchange operations.
- Access to international and government loan programs (EBRD, IBRD, EIB lending programs and government programs "Affordable Loans 5-7-9", ECA, government guarantees).
