Ukraine's Renovation League ONOVA and the State Tax University of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine (Irpin, Kyiv region) are starting to cooperate on the restoration and thermal modernization of the educational institution's building complex, as well as on its strategic development.

On March 7, the memorandum of cooperation was signed by Dmytro Serebryansky, acting rector of the State Tax University, and Yegor Stefanovych, ONOVA's chief coordinator and chairman of the board of the Public Union "Ukrainian Fund of Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving". 

"I hope that thanks to our joint efforts with the PU UFEES, we will at least partially resume full-time education next academic year, so we should be ready to receive our students. I am grateful to ONOVA for the initiative to help restore the destroyed windows and part of the roof, as well as for the proposals for thermal modernization of our buildings," said Dmytro Serebryansky.

Last year, Irpin suffered from shelling by the Russian military during the city's occupation. Hundreds of buildings were destroyed, including almost all the buildings of the tax university and a sports complex. Despite the broken windows and damaged ceilings, the educational institution continues to train future specialists in finance, taxation, and customs, mostly through distance learning.

Nevertheless, the university continues to teach despite the broken windows and damaged ceiling, but only remotely. 

"Rebuilding in a new way, taking into account energy efficiency trends, is what we have been working on all the time we have been establishing the Public Union, which we offer to ONOVA League members. I am confident that in this project we will be able to implement the best practices of rapid recovery and thermal modernization, which the Public Union and the members of the ONOVA League have," said Anar Rafiyev, President of the PU UFEES, during the meeting.

"Tax University is a leading university in Kyiv region. We want to see it restored, modernized and working for the development of the entire region as soon as possible and are ready to make every effort for this," said Yegor Stefanovych. 

In addition, State Tax University and the ONOVA League agreed to work together on the strategic development of the educational institution.
